General Suggestions Thread

Right now it looks like images can be uploaded. I don't think it makes sense for you/the site to have to host all that shit besides smilies and avatars. I'd try to make it so you have to share the link like on the coli.

On this topic, there's a lot of "Hey I was banned because mods from the last site were haters" posters here which deserves a side eye IMO. Mods barely enforced shit at the old spot, so if you got banned... some of yall might have deserved it

A separate political forum from the main forum

a JBO equivalent (that needs to be heavily modded)

Maybe for the sports section a feature for parlays or something.

Honestly there needs to be a sub-forum where people can air their beef with each other along with the bushes. Shit was a trip on the old site, where a convo gets derailed because brothers is calling each other out they name over some comments! Shit is insane.

Maybe specific groups?

Roatation of mods, shit make mods have to be voted in and out like a real election or some shit. Silly stuff like that keeps people invested.
 
People asking for a Politics forum, but people didn't post there as much as TLR. Why can't folks just ignore threads they don't like?

My Israel thread would not have done the same numbers in Higher Learning.

Maybe it would have done numbers in TLR if it was where it was supposed to be. TLR will have identical threads to stuff in the coliseum, higher Learning, and the booth all the time.

I think an ideal solution is merging the threads or letting the link to the threads exist in multiple forums.

Eventually it will die out and repeat.

You need to look at why the last two sites failed in the first place.

They didn't fail due to lack of a vision or purpose, the posters provide the purpose. SOHH did that projectcovo shit and it ruined the board and there were constant technical issues. Brook abandoned the coli closed registration and all the tech issues started piling up.

Make TLR private until hitting a certain post count for new members. Should weed out a decent amount of trolls by doing this. Plus there will be a documented post history to see what type of time they’re on with what teams or music they show knowledge in.

Definitely some kind of restriction filter. Preventing guests from viewing subsections that isn't JBO. Fuck em, they don't need to know what we all saying lol

Also, some kind of support system. Where the money goes towards the development of the website. Like coli's support tag, but I don't know if the $5($10?) went towards the development

There's a feature that can separate the sticky threads from the rest of the topic list somewhere on the backend, it's a minor thing but I think it helps since right now it just blends in.
 
we are gonna have to get the full version and migrate to our own server pretty soon. This version doesn’t have a lot of the simple shit people are asking for like polls. :francis:
