I was asked why I'm using the term koon and speaking about plantations, and I'm saying because as a Black Eritrean man who was born in the US, that is the Black history I grew up in and frame of reference for Black history with the Black people that I can accessibly speak to since birth. I am still Eritrean and I am still African-American.

This is why I've been focusing more on the mods. As I said in another thread it starts and ends with them. There's something wrong with the people who moderate the coli fundamentally. They're all in their 40s, they're all simps, some of them aren't even black, and even the ones that are black are quick to lash out at young black male posters with a spine, yet act like they blind when it comes to WS rhetoric. How many "strikes" you get before your account gets banned, what justifies a temporary vs permanent ban, and so on and so forth. Personally, I like the idea of taking a vote before deciding on any one's permanent ban but ultimately everything is up to you.

I understand why people are hyper vigilant about anti-black racism, but here I hope we can do it in a way that doesn't deplete our membership like it did on the coli. Hyper vigilance combined with a lack of clearly defined rules is what killed it in my opinion. It worked insofar as minimizing white supremacist accounts and anti-black racists, but it also encouraged black posters to participate in trolling just for the sake of riling people up.

Yes, that happens when the rules aren't clearly known by the owners and moderators. They will sometimes issue warnings and bans due to personal mood swings, misinterpretations, etc.

What do you mean by anti black shit? I didn't notice a lot of anti black shit sliding there, at least not what I would call anti black.
