Will be working on this. What we got so far is just what I was able to do between 3am and 5am before work.

There will be stricter moderating and zero tolerance on racist shit. Mods will

that daps attracted me to this place tbh and serve a good subtle moderating function. Also it does help when people are really cooking and incentivizes laughter / gets the attention of good posts you mightve missed from otherwise scrolling

yeah but it also makes it a lurker friendly place which is why the other site had server crashes (30000 guests vs 1000 actual people online)

i get what you saying but if you posted during SOHH and early COLI you know would understand the dynamic better

IE if someone laughed at your post on sohh it would be 20 posts quoting it directly, that might seem annoying but people really knew eachother those days

yeah ive posted on other forums back in the day where that would be the way and i definitely knew posters there.

i think we ultimately disagree for the same reasons lol w/r/t lurker-friendly imo the numbers on the coli speak for themselves

The daps also make it able to NOT quote posts if you agree with them. Keeping things cleaner. Esp for like big posts/articles i wish people would like quote-spoiler, or quote-abridge big text things. Perhaps a better rule around this can be instituted? then again doing so prevents the use of jordan smilies when someone goofs. kanyeshrug

but instead alot of coli moderation is based on how people feel about the posts rather than keeping stuff like that from happening. itd be easier to just bush more people

To keep things simple and plain, and fair, there can be room for disagreements, but we need to be civil about it in my opinion, no calling people out they name for little stuff.

But there needs to be a line the sand.

No diaspora wars either. Too much going for black people to be barking at each other like dogs across the street.
