Marshawn Lynch Explores Harlem's Fashion Legacy with Dapper Dan

Dan a hip-hop legend

Wear a G on my chest, I don't need Dapper Dan
This ain't a sewn outfit, holmes, holmes is about it
Was clappin' them flamers before I became famous
For playin' me, y'all shall forever remain nameless

More G's on me, than a late 80's Gucci leather
Worn by the great Rakim himself
Stitched by Dapper Dan, oh man with the gun in hand
I leave your blood squirting

I’m not a Harlemite but I used to spend time there. Those who are familiar with Harlem history know that It used to be several tailors in Harlem that were known to be some of the best black tailors in the country. Ori the Tailor, used to service some of the biggest athletes, entertainers, Mack men and gangsters in America. Ya’ll you give Dapper Dan memoir a read. It’s it’s an excellent look at the hustling subculture that made of Harlem from the 50s to today.
