Started Kyokushin Karate earlier this year.
Since I’m already in shape like by a lot its been ok
But sometimes

Running cardio isn’t the same as kumite cardio
I realized that quickly had to change my whole hiit running routine from 30 seconds max with a minute of rest walking to 1 minute max to 30 seconds of jogging to be better suited.
Already got a few kicks to side of the head during sparring cuz my guard wasn’t up and some from black belts that if they really wanted too would’ve put my ass to sleep
Its a hell of a challenge sometimes but I love it.
