Imma keep it short, this is my second week going to Shabbat in a row. I've been a member of the shul for four years. I also go to the high holiday services too.

Anyhow, the Rabbi today told me he's going to finish my conversion up this year. I'm happy and inviting my family/friends to the mikvah. G-d has helped me a lot this past year. Last year, I lost my favorite uncle, auntie, and dad.

@Koichos

P.S. no trolling nor bringing up the conflict in the middle east.

I understand youre already in the process, but think about the following before making your final decision about gіyyur: a Jew must abide by hundreds of mіtzvοt, while you do not. Thus there are many more ways in which a Jew can incur Gοd’s displeasure as compared with yourself—so it is much easier for you to be right with Gοd than it is for us and yet you are potentially able to earn the same reward as we can. In these circumstances, why would you even want to become a Jew?

I never understand people who try to use logic when analyzing religion. Yo, its religion. Completely divorced from logic.

Well, I have changed a lot since I've came into the religion. I don't curse, disrespect, and etc. Judaism I know takes a lot and I'm up for it. I changed a lot of my old habits.

thats only your take on it

religion cannot be defined only by your own personal experience, nor can logic

as you soon as you do that you show you dont have a grasp on either idea

CONGRATULATIONS

MY WIFE COMPLETED HER CONVERSION 3 YEARS AGO AND IT HAS BEEN VERY REWARDING FOR BOTH OF US

HER DETERMINATION HAS BROUGHT ME CLOSER TO GOD AND KEEPING THE COMMANDMENTS

:salute:

WHERE ARE U LOCATED AND WHO IS YOUR CONVERTING RABBI?

Then what’s the point of making this thread. This isn’t a Jewish website or forum. You don’t know the religious makeup of the members.

So you coming out the closet in here is for what purpose exactly? It just seems very deliberate.

As a matter of fact, you was one of the motherfuckers pushing that Zionist shit at thecoli. And got me bushed for speaking out against Israeli.

Now you trying to bring that bullshit over here.

Man fuck you.

WHAT DOES RELIGION HAVE TO DO WITH SELF HATRED?

JUDAISM IS FOR EVERYONE WILLING TO ACCEPT GOD'S COMMANDMENTS IN THE ORIGINAL SCRIPTURES
It’s the Zionism that taints it. And the piece of shit Zionist colonizing culture stealing cracka ass crackas that co-oped Judaism.

And turned it into a race/ethnicity and not a religion.

WELL ZIONISM IS A CENTRAL PART OF JUDAISM .. EVERYTHING IN JUDAISM REVOLVES AROUND JERUSALEM. WHERE AS, ISLAM DOESNT HAVE ANY MENTION OF JERUSALEM IN THEIR SCRIPTURE. SO CALLING JEWS "COLONIZERS" IN THE LAND OF JUDEA (ISRAEL) BECAUSE MUSLIMS TOOK OVER DURING THEIR CONQUEST OF THE LEVANT IS LIKE CALLING NATIVE AMERICANS COLONIZERS OF THE UNITED STATES

AND MOST JEWS IN ISRAEL ARE NOT ASHKENAZI (WHITE/WHITE PASSING), BUT RATHER MIZRAHI (MIDDLE EASTERN)

SO ITS YOUR IGNORANCE THAT TAINTS IT IN YOUR MIND

Yeah im making it political :oneway:

THERES OBVIOUSLY EXTREMISTS ON BOTH SIDES

THE DIFFERENCE BEING, EXTREMISM IS A HUGE PART OF "PALESTINIAN" CULTURE

WHEREAS, ISRAEL IS A DEMOCRACY THAT HAS BOTH EXTREMISTS AND THOSE STAUNCHLY OPPOSING EXTREMISM

U WONT FIND MANY OPPOSING HAMAS' EXTREMISM IN GAZA, AS THERE IS NO FREE SPEECH OVER THERE

THEY EMBED THAT EXTREMISM IN THEIR TV PROGRAMS, THEIR SCHOOL CURRICULUM, THEIR LAWS.. AS HAMAS RUNS ALL OF THAT

THE INDOCTRINATION IS SO STRONG THAT IT SPILLS INTO THE VULNERABLE MINDS OF CODDLED WESTERNERS SUCH AS YASELF

this to me is the real problem

this and this

by default it has a cyclical problem that is linked to keeping the book of judges

Try again cock sucker.

And the fact that you think Zionism is part of Judaism shows you are a racist piece of shit.

GODS WILL IS NEVER A "PROBLEM" FAM
i think that idea is what keeps the captivity continuing (implying that God's people is a golem and must be controlled/steered)

so to me it very much is, thats also the core idea in Islam which subdues sorcerors because of that logic (The Will of Allah or The God)

and Moses called it out here

so as I said to @Koichos it can be interpreted as

"A merchant king stood as an adversary to all who came to the land of the Merchants via the spies"
Obelisks at Karnak contain references to a "land of fnḫw", fnḫw being the plural form of fnḫ, the Ancient Egyptian word for 'carpenter'. This "land of carpenters" is generally identified as Phoenicia, given that Phoenicia played a central role in the lumber trade of the Levant.[24] As an exonym, fnḫw was evidently loaned into Greek as φοῖνιξ, phoînix, which meant variably 'Phoenician person', 'Tyrian purple, crimson' or 'date palm'.
giphy.gif

So its arguable there are no Israelites there because of this conundrum

but thats only because of Jerusalem, I still maintain that Aarons breastplate is the key and the holiest artifact (because of Ebal and Gerizim)

U ARE VERY ARROGANT TO TRY AND CORRECT AN OBSERVANT JEW ON WHAT JUDAISM IS

IF WE ARE NOT IN ISRAEL, WE PRAY FACING JERUSALEM

OUR PRAYERS INCLUDE OUR NEED TO BE IN JERUSALEM ALL THROUGHOUT

DONT LET THESE NON PRACTICING LIBERAL JEWS WHO HAVE BEEN GUILTED INTO DISOWNING THEIR CULTURE FOOL U

That’s good, a step in the right direction, but I caution you that there is no turning back after the mіḳveh; remember: we are a people, not a religion. That is why a convert becomes a Jewish person, not a Jewish believer—in that he or she will forevermore remain a Jew regardless belief down the road, has v'halіlah: גֵּר שֶׁנִּתְגַּיֵּר כְּקָטָן שֶׁנּוֹלָד דָּמֵי ger shennіtgayyer k'ḳattan shennοlad dameі (‘a ger who has been converted is like a newborn infant’). Is this really what you want for your future?

As you are aware, becoming a Jew is an arduous process and one where the person undergoing gіyyur must be rigorously tested. Needless to say, only a properly convened (read: orthodox) beіt din can preform gіyyur kahalachah. Any gentile who is seriously and sincerely considering gіyyur will need to relocate to such a place prior to embarking upon any action at all connected with such a venture as it will not be possible unless he is already living in a place where there are Jews.

By your use of the Iddіsh term ‘shul’, I’m assuming this is an Ashk'nazzі בֵּית כְּנֶסֶת? It is important for gerіm to choose a mіnhag they are comfortable with. Are you sure on nοsah ashk'naz over minhag has'faradіyіm? Yes, all Jews are bound by the same Torah whether natural born or ger (Sh'mοt 12:49; B'mіdbar 15:16, 15:29), but there do exist variations in religious practices between these (and other) groups of Jews in minute details, i.e., in matters of custom as distinct from actual law.

Ashk'nazzі rite:
 • t'fіllіn on hοl hammο`ed (Ashk'nazzіm make two b'rachοt‎ - shel yad and shel rοsh)
 • `al n'ṭіlat yadayіm is recited after washing one’s hands (but before drying)
 • pіyyuṭіm are‎ recited on the ḳ'dushshah of the musaf repetition of the `amіdah prayer on Rοsh Hashshanah and Yοm Kіppur
 • b'rachah is made in the mіḳveh (after immersion)
S'faraddі rite:
 • no t'fіllіn on hοl hammο`ed (S'faraddі make one b'rachah‎ - covering both shel yad and shel rοsh)
 • `al n'ṭіlat yadayіm is recited before washing one’s hands
 • pіyyuṭіm are‎ recited before the hazzan begins the repetition because S'faraddіm do not say any piyyuim during the `amіdah’s repetition on R"H and Y"K
 • b'rachah is made before the mіḳveh (in a side room prior to removing the last piece of clothing)
It is also a sad fact that there are many Jews who regard gerіm as a kind of ‘second-class Jews’. This is particularly evident when trying to marry. You will almost certainly not be able to marry a frum’ from birth bat yіsra´el unless she has a disability of some kind, or undisclosed bipolar.. something like that. And some, like the Syrians, have a taanah forbidding the acceptance of all gerіm, period—marriage or otherwise. It can be a lonely road traveled, so think about your decision.

Man fuck you.
I'm not gay, but you deserved to get bushed. When you contribute nothing, you get bushed. Take it like a man

P.S. i haven't posted on that cesspool in five years.

Why do you hate yourself so much you'd become a damn jew
I've been practicing for four years. Also, there's African tribes that practice the Israelite/Jewish faith, the Igbos. If I hated myself I'd be an Atheist. The L-rd has helped me and I came a long way. I lost three members of my family last year. If that happened without Adonai I'd probably went crazy.

Let them keep that garbage, what about the jewish religion is worth "taking back"?
plenty :empathy2:

this is why my idea @Koichos of the Ox Cart temple has merit with the backdrop of eternity

it alone can defeat the iron chariots

Rigsthula's description says its only for buildings, and Ox Carts count as buildings
The Rigsthula was an eddic poem that told of how the god Heimdall walked the earth and met several families of humans, fathering remarkable children and imparting his wisdom to humanity. Heimdall's children represented the various social classes of Norse society, a motif also found in several other Indo-European myths.

the Egyptians when describing the "Sea Peoples" before the Bronze Age Collapse remarked that they were completely clad in Iron weaponry and Armor

"Ox-eyed Hera" is an epithet used by Homer to describe the Greek goddess Hera, meaning she had large, full, and beautiful eyes. The term "ox-eyed" (or "cow-eyed") was a compliment that implied a captivating, beautiful, and even wise gaze, not something negative. It is also associated with her regal bearing and role as queen of the gods.

This is false and Judaism is the first Abrahamic faith. The actually point would be Islam is more like Judaism.
you can say that its the might of Abraham :shocking:

I'm a Black man in the 2020s, none of this is racially or ethnically relevant to me, I look at semites the same way they look at us

re-read what you wrote

but consider your statement a people, how would your statement procreate?

"And Sarai was barren"...

then see above

WHERE DID U HEAR THIS?

WE WASH AND THEN RECITE THE PRAYER AND THEN DRY

I JUST LOOKED IT UP IN MY SIDDUR TO VERIFY AND IT SAYS THE SAME
Interesting. I stand corrected. So the recitation of n'ṭіlat yadayіm after washing one’s hands derives from folio 6a of the גְּמָרָא יְרוּשַׁלְמִית of pereḳ alef, halachah alef. But I was under the impression there was a Ramba"m or SH"A on the matter that prescribed the b'rachah to be said beforehand that S'faraddіm followed. Thanks!

NO DOUBT

U HAD ME WORRIED THERE FOR A MINUTE

P.S. you do know that there's a Black Hebrew Tabernacle too right? It's a few minutes from my house and I've been there before. Good service and they teach that African Americans are also from the book.

William Saunders Crowdy was the founder and is a prophet according to them. I personally don't believe that though. I follow Conservative Judaism.

OH.. SO YOURE CONVERTING WITH A CONSERVATIVE RABBI?

NOT ORTHODOX?

YOU KNOW THIS ISNT ACCEPTED BASED ON HALAKHA, CORRECT?

Only reason why I went Conservative is because the Orthodox synagogue never contacted me back. I called them six times in 2021. They always promised to reach out to me, but never did.
