When is the last time you paid for music?

I'm pretty sure it was a vinyl copy of Krit Iz Here

Last new commercial release I bought I think was TPAB, most recent physical item in general tho I think was Kid Capri advance album which has some missing songs not on the retail version.

I mean, I pay for Spotify every month. For physicals I got the new Clipse joint in a merch bundle when it dropped.

As for going to a record store and buying music that way? Shit, I think it has to be all the way back when Tower Records was going out of business. They started doing crazy sales where you could pick up like 5 CDs for $10, then 10 CDs for $10, then 10 CDs for $5, etc. I remember getting Sean P - Monkey Barz, AZ - AWOL, Beanie - The B Coming, Madlib - Beat Konducta Vol1-2, Ghostface - Fishscale, Bronze Naz - Great Migration, GZA - Grandmaster... That's just some of the good ones I remember off the top of my head. I just moved to a different area at this time and was in a new high school where I didn't know anyone, so a lot of these albums and artists were pivotal during my formative years, especially since I bonded with most of my new friends over music.

I know I picked up a lot of random shit from artists I never heard of that had the occasional gem, but mostly shit that I just tossed. I also picked up a bunch of classic stuff I had pirated but never purchased, or had the CD but never had the plastic case and insert. Pretty sure I went back like 3 or 4 times with the deals getting more and more ridiculous every time, but less and less good shit available.

I kind of miss the whole experience of having to go to the store to purchase music. Feels good to reminisce. :blessed:I wish I still had my CD collection.
