Yeah, would have to get clarification on exactly what OP means but, in terms of ad rev a YouTube view is generally worth more than say a spotify stream, and a YouTube music stream is generally worth more than a regular YouTube view so from that perspective it makes sense to me

I don't think artists make money from physically selling music anymore. It's all from tours and merch.

youtube is more accessible as you don't have to have an account to listen to music there... that might lead to higher streams than other platforms.... just a guess on my part...
