I've never seen anybody who's run a website do this. It's almost as if he's actively avoiding communicating with anybody associated with The Coli.
People are talking about he sold the site off, or there's a shadow moderator, making some sort of grand conspiracy about it that's entertaining to read. But I think it's a lot simpler than that.
Brooklynzson left because he didn't like what the Coli turned into. The negativity. The fighting. The gender wars. The diaspora wars. The MAGA whataboutism. Don't get me wrong. People discuss whatever on the discussion board. But it's almost as if he knew how bad this site looked offline and wanted to distance himself from it on purpose.
Maybe I'm wrong. I dunno. He has been unreachable for seemingly ages. He's avoiding us. There's no evidence to the contrary.
Cook bounced too! The site was so toxic, both of the owners vanished. Y'all ever think about that sometimes? I do.
Unless Brooklynzson actively makes an effort to communicate anything (and anything from him would suffice atp, not some troll pretending to be him) to anybody involved with the site, I'm going to continue to say that he does not want to be associated with the site he created. And he's actively ignoring any communication with the moderators in hopes the site goes offline one day forever and he doesn't have to deal with it anymore.
Hopefully Brooklynzson and Cook are doing well, but I wish they’d sold the site to a trusted member and bowed out gracefully. Even a six-month migration window for a new site with a full database export for archives would’ve been better. If TheColi.com ever goes offline now, it could vanish forever like the SOHH forums did.
Most logical conclusion: They parted ways shortly after selling the site to the people who turned it into what it became. Those people likely Nazis focused on harming Black people.
