So yeah, that board is legit compromised. No question about it.

Never in my life have I ever heard of or observed Black people from America hating on Black people from Africa/Carribean so damn hard and I’ve been Black my whole life. Throughout my life Black people from all kinds of backgrounds were cool with each other on the basis that we’re all Black. If there ever was friction it was in the form of light teasing or name calling. But beyond middle school that kind of ethnic antagonism is non existent.

Literally the only other environment where I heard such sustained ethnic antagonism by Black people are fringe communities almost exclusively on Elon Musk’s iteration of Twitter, another online haven for right wing racist trolls. Endless antagonistic conversations on Twitter Spaces that only exist to foment disagreement amongst Black people. Endless Black fishing campaigns from well funded users. Racist bots on racist bots. The diaspora wars have ruined so many Black online spaces. The level of discourse has went from healthy debate and disagreement to gaslighting and whataboutism to so called Black posters throwing insults at Africans and Carribeans that would make white nationalists blush. You can go on twitter and see FBA cult members who have been radicalized to hate africans and caribbeans call other black people the most disparaging things that I will not repeat here.

This FBA vs Non-FBA shit has ruined Black Twitter. And it ruined the coli. It brought a lot of negative energy to the forum and made it less fun.

In fact, I've actually unsubscribed from several Black YouTube content creators in the last few years and unfollowed many Black folks on social media because they've fallen victim to this toxic FBA rhetoric. And that includes Tariq Nasheed. Which is a damn shame because I love to support Black people regardless of nationality. But once you start calling Africans "baboons" and "3rd worlders" you lose me completely. I've been really disappointed by a lot of Black Americans who I thought were cool, that went down this disappointing route.

Even worse this discourse has allowed many anti-Intellectual talking points to pollute regular Black online discourse.

You look ridiculous when you say you're not African, but your DNA is 75% African.

You do not show ethnic pride when you disparage Africans and Caribbeans, you show self-hate.

It's one thing to have ethnic pride in national identity. It's another to use that to put down another group to raise up yours.

Africans, Caribbeans and Black Immigrants are not the enemy. There is an active Republican fascist administration in office with Donald Trump and they're trying to take the whole country back to the 1700s. But tariq nasheed and his ilk, have convinced a bunch of unsuspecting and good minded black folk, who seems should know better into hating Black immigrants who have zero power over their lives.
